He recognised that voice at least. "Yeah! It was Seto, right?"
He put the last of the books back into place and shifted so he was sitting on the floor instead of kneeling. "Yeah, I got a dorm. It looked like my room-mate was going to be needing some privacy for the night though. So... Library was open, and it's quiet. Thought I'd drop in where it's warm."

"The one and only," Seto replied nonchalantly, a smug look crossing his features. He rose an eyebrow at Jou's reasoning. "Ah, I see. That sucks." He totally didn't sneak in here as well, nope.

He nodded in the direction of the white blur. "Who's your friend?"
Plus he was more than likely more than one Seto in existence so he doubted he was 'the one and only'.

"I'm not his friend. I mean I'm not not his-I'm...I mean..." Wonderful. Great. Way to go there Bakura. Say something stupid. "Bakura." Nice. Smooth. Asshole. "I mean that's my name. Bakura." Yeah. They had gotten that. Stupid. Bakura shut his mouth and took a half step back until part of a library shelf was shielding him. And now he was hiding. Wonderful stupid, they can still see you. He crossed his arms rightly over his chest in a protective gesture. "....Hi." He finished lamely.

Jou grinned and waved in his direction. "I'm Jou. Well, I better find a nice couch to spend the night. Good luck with your.... whatever you two are doing in here for."

He gave a half nod in Jou's direction. But the next moment a mildly confused look crossed his face. Good luck? Why would they possibly need good luck? No one would break into a library to steal books, at least not realistically. They were hardly having a raging party or had been shown to have any reason to be in the library. No books or flashlights of alcohol or drugs or games or anything that would hint at some activity they could be....Bakura stiffened up in embarrassment. "We did not come here to hook up!"

"O...kaaaaay?" He gave Bakura a confused look. "Didn't say you did...?"
He put his arms behind his head, raising his eyebrows. "Are you homophobic or something, Bakura?"

That long held vowel was obnoxious and Bakura had to wince. American accents were something he realized he would never get used to. But he had chosen this after all. Getting as far away from England as humanly possible. Oh. And he had done it again. That over analyzing thought process that had inicially turned off the Smith family after the second week. That was....okay. there was no point in trying to explain himself or the train of thought that had brought him to that conclusion. Bakura had long ago learnt that just because he could see the connection between A to C did not mean that everyone else did. Especially when there wasn't a B in the equation.
"You just, why else would two people sneak into a place together after dark and....we came here separately and..." Absolute mortification. Wonderful first impression there Bakura. At least he thought, they both now knew exactly what they needed to know about him. That he either did an impression of a wallflower or a car crash. No in between. "Trust me when I say I am the opposite of homophobic." He ended on dryly.

"To just hang out? Or... I don't know. What do people do in libraries? Stare at books?" He shrugged. "Not that I'd judge even if you were. You're both hot so whatever floats your boat."

"Why would you just stare at a book. I generally come into the library to read." He said, slightly insulted on behalf of the library. There was an odd need he felt to defend it. After all Library's were often the most familiar place in whatever city he lived in. And he had lived in a lot of cities. Even some small towns north of London were the only library in the village had had was the public schools. And you could always seen students inside mixed with the dairy farmers and gruff older work hands as they tried to find information of some plant or accounting. The annoyance was replaced with surprise at Jou's next words. Jou had complemented him. Offhanded and casual. But still there. Bakura stayed silent and retreated even further behind the bookshelf, ducking his head until a wall of hair was able to shield him. "U-uh..." Say thank you, stupid. Interact! But in the end that was just too difficult. So in the end Bakura ducked out from behind the shelf and speed walked towards the exit, face down and arms still folded tightly over his chest. "I have to go now." Just get out just get out just get out.

He blinked after him. "Okay. Bye Bakura! Nice meeting you!" He grinned and waved in his direction, then looked back at the fuzzy tall brunet shape. "I think I scared him off. Sorry."

Seto just kind of stared at the conversation that was happening in front of him, semi zoning out when he realized that his inclusion wasn't really necessary. He must have been really tired to do that, since it rarely ever happened. Sudden movement woke Seto back into reality, and he realized that Bakura had speeding out the library. He side glanced at Jou, slightly confused. "What?"

"Uh... Bakura left?" Jou said uncertainly, squinting in his direction. "I said, I guess I scared him off? I figured you two were talking." He moved a hand up to rub the back of his head. "So, I'll, uh. Leave you to whatever it is you're doing. Find somewhere comfortable to sleep." He tilted his head slightly. "What are you even studying this early, anyway?"

"Oh." Seto blinked, staring at the direction that Bakura had left. "I mean, we weren't exactly...we just sort of bumped into each other here."
Seto paused, deciding whether to lie about why he was really here. Studying did seem like something he would do but, it seemed really irrational to lie. Might as well tell the truth. "I got bored so I went for a stroll, saw that the library was open, found a book about dragons and now here I am." His reply sounded monotone and dull, as if he had said it a million times before. It might have also sounded just a tiny bit sarcastic, even though he didn't mean it that way.

"You... read for fun?" He asked, shocked and amused. "That sounds really boring. Come on, you've gotta do something else for fun! Do you like video games?"
